Product Description

Ultimate Salt Rejection NF Filter Element

NF98 Series Nanofiltration Membrane ElementThe NF98 series nanofiltration membrane element incorporates a state-of-the-art proprietary multilayer composite membrane. Utilizing nano-level and ultra-thin hydrophilic coating technology, it offers unrivaled anti-fouling performance. The flux rates are impressively higher-twice that of leading international brands-while maintaining operating pressures at least 50% lower. This exceptional performance allows it to seamlessly replace traditional TFC membranes like the NF270, XC-N, DL, DK, and others.

1. The NF98 membrane boasts a super hydrophilic surface, delivering excellent anti-fouling performance and an extended lifespan.
2. The product flux of the NF98 is typically 30% higher than traditional TFC membranes, with certain types achieving up to double the performance, significantly reducing energy consumption.
3. Boasting a rejection rate of over 98% for high monovalent salts (such as magnesium sulfate, iron, and heavy metals), it allows monovalent salts to pass through.
4. The NF98 showcases a high rejection rate of organic compounds including pesticides, herbicides, antibiotics, and THM precursors.

What is Nanofiltration?

Nanofiltration is a specialized membrane process designed to reject dissolved solutes in the size range of approximately 1 nanometer (10 Angstroms), hence the term 'nanofiltration.'

In terms of the size and weight of solutes rejected, nanofiltration operates in a unique spectrum betweenreverse osmosis (RO) and ultrafiltration (UF). : Organic molecules with molecular weights greater than 200-400 are effectively rejected by nanofiltration membranes. These membranes can successfully filter out several contaminants, including:

  • Dissolved organics.
  • Endotoxins/pyrogens.
  • Insecticides/pesticides.
  • Herbicides.
  • Antibiotics.
  • Nitrates.
  • Sugars.
  • Latex emulsions.
  • Metal ions.

Typical applications of nanofiltration membrane systems include:

  • The removal of color and total organic carbon (TOC) from surface water.
  • The removal of hardness or radium from well water.
  • The overall reduction of total dissolved solids (TDS).
  • The separation of organic from inorganic matter in specialty food and wastewater applications.

Our water yield and desalination rates are precisely measured under stringent standard test conditions: 2000 ppm MgSO4 at 70 psi (0.48 MPa), 77°F (25°C), achieving 15% recovery. Similarly, for 2000 ppm NaCl, the parameters remain at 70 psi (0.48 MPa) and 77°F (25°C), ensuring a consistent 15% recovery.
2. Variation range of water yield is +/- 15%, assuring reliable performance even under fluctuating conditions.
3. The F34 model features a robust fiberglass-wrapped case with a substantial 34 mil mesh thickness. We offer additional shells, meshes, and components for customization. The HF, SP, Pro, and SPEC designations correspond to high throughput, superior salt separation, elevated rejection rates, and tailored nanofiltration membrane series, respectively. (Consult our pre-sales engineers for comprehensive details).

Whatis the difference between Nanofiltration and Loose Reverse Osmosis?
There are varied perspectives regarding whether nanofiltration qualifies as loose reverse osmosis, depending on different standpoints and applications. Our Proshare NF98 series nanofiltration membrane, with its superior performance, surpasses even the leading imported brands, fulfilling all expectations.Donnan
Our NF98-SP membrane offers high selective ion rejection (FIG. 4) and can be customized for desolation and COD removal performance as per customer requirements. (Feel free to consult our senior pre-sales engineers for optimal solutions).
