NF98 Series Nanofiltration Membrane ElementHarnessing cutting-edge proprietary multilayer composite membrane technology and an ultra-thin, nano-level hydrophilic coating, our NF98 series promises unparalleled anti-fouling performance. It boasts a flux that surpasses international brands, delivering twice the efficiency, while operating at 50% lower pressure. This advanced membrane is engineered to replace traditional TFC membranes like NF270, XC-N, DL, and DK, offering superior overall performance.

1. The NF98 membrane features an exceptionally hydrophilic surface, ensuring outstanding anti-fouling capabilities and extended lifespan.
2. The NF98's flux is typically 30% higher than traditional TFC membranes, with some models even doubling the rate, resulting in significantly reduced energy consumption.
3. Achieving over 98% rejection of high monovalent salts such as magnesium sulfate, iron, and heavy metals, while allowing monovalent salts to pass through.
4. High rejection rates for organic compounds including pesticides, herbicides, antibiotics, and THM precursors.
 
What is Nanofiltration?

Nanofiltration is a specialized membrane technology that filters dissolved solutes approximately 1 nanometer in size (10 Angstroms), hence the name 'nanofiltration.'

Regarding solute size and weight rejection, nanofiltration operates in a range betweenreverse osmosis (RO) and ultrafiltration (UF). : Nanofiltration membranes effectively reject organic molecules with molecular weights greater than 200-400. These membranes can reject a wide array of contaminants, including:

  • Dissolved organics,
  • Endotoxins/pyrogens,
  • Insecticides/pesticides,
  • Herbicides,
  • Antibiotics,
  • Nitrates,
  • Sugars,
  • Latex emulsions,
  • and Metal ions.

Typical Applications of Nanofiltration Membrane Systems Include:

  • The removal of color and total organic carbon (TOC) from surface water,
  • The removal of hardness or radium from well water,
  • The overall reduction of total dissolved solids (TDS),
  • and The separation of organic from inorganic matter in specialty food* and wastewater applications.

The water yield and desalination rates are meticulously measured under specific standard test conditions: 2000 ppm of MgSO4 at 70 psi (0.48 MPa), 77°F (25°C) with a 15% recovery, and 2000 ppm of NaCl at 70 psi (0.48 MPa), 77°F (25°C) with a 15% recovery.
2. The water yield variation range is within +/-15%, ensuring consistent performance.
3. The F34 model features a robust fiberglass-wrapped case with a mesh thickness of 34 mil. Additional shells, meshes, and components are available for customization. The HF, SP, Pro, and SPEC designations refer to high throughput, salt separation, high rejection, and custom series nanofiltration membranes, respectively.
