Product Description

Product Description

Nanofiltration Membrane for Material Separation

NF98 series nanofiltration membrane elementThe NF98 series nanofiltration membrane adopts a proprietary multilayer composite membrane, featuring nano-level, ultra-thin hydrophilic coating technology that offers outstanding anti-fouling performance. With flux rates that are twice as high as leading international brands and operating pressures at least 50% lower, this membrane outperforms traditional TFC membranes such as NF270, XC-N, DL, and DK.

1. The NF98 membrane boasts a super hydrophilic surface, ensuring excellent anti-fouling performance and an extended lifespan.
2. The product flux of the NF98 is typically 30% higher than traditional TFC membranes, with some types achieving up to twice the performance, significantly reducing energy consumption.
3. It offers a rejection rate of over 98% for high monovalent salts such as magnesium sulfate, iron, and heavy metals, while allowing monovalent salts to pass through.
4. The NF98 membrane effectively rejects high levels of organic compounds, including pesticides, herbicides, antibiotics, and THM precursors.

What is Nanofiltration?

Nanofiltration is a specialized membrane process that rejects dissolved solutes roughly sized around 1 nanometer (10 Angstroms), thus the term 'nanofiltration.'

In terms of solute size and weight, nanofiltration operates in the intermediate range betweenreverse osmosis (RO) and ultrafiltration (UF). : Organic molecules with molecular weights greater than 200-400 are effectively rejected. Nanofiltration membranes can efficiently filter out various contaminants, including:

  • Dissolved organics.
  • Endotoxins/pyrogens.
  • Insecticides/pesticides.
  • Herbicides.
  • Antibiotics.
  • Nitrates.
  • Sugars.
  • Latex emulsions.
  • Metal ions.

Typical applications of nanofiltration membrane systems include:

  • The removal of color and total organic carbon (TOC) from surface water.
  • The reduction of hardness or radium from well water.
  • The overall reduction of total dissolved solids (TDS).
  • The separation of organic from inorganic matter in specialty food and wastewater applications.

Our water yield and desalination rates are derived from stringent standard test conditions: 2000 ppm MgSO4, 70 psi (0.48 MPa), 77°F (25°C), 15% recovery. Additionally, 2000 ppm NaCl, 70 psi (0.48 MPa), 77°F (25°C), 15% recovery.
2. The water yield variation range is maintained at +/- 15%, ensuring consistent performance.
3. The F34 model comes with a fiberglass-wrapped case and a mesh thickness of 34 mil. Optional shells, meshes, and components are available as per your requirements. The HF, SP, Pro, and SPEC labels denote high throughput, salt separation, high rejection, and customized series of nanofiltration membranes, respectively. Whatis the difference between Nanofiltration and Loose Reverse Osmosis?
There are varied opinions on whether nanofiltration is a form of loose reverse osmosis, depending on different standpoints and applications. The Proshare NF98 series nanofiltration membrane stands out with its exceptional performance, surpassing even mainstream imported brands.Donnan
