Durable Water Treatment Membrane Element for Material Separation Purification

NF98 Series Nanofiltration Membrane ElementThe NF98 series features a proprietary multilayer composite membrane with nano-level, ultra-thin hydrophilic coating technology. Offering superior anti-fouling performance, it delivers flux rates twice as high as international brands, while operating at pressures at least 50% lower. Its exceptional performance allows it to replace traditional TFC membranes such as NF270, XC-N, DL, DK, and others.

1. NF98 membranes boast a super hydrophilic surface, outstanding anti-fouling capabilities, and an extended lifespan.
2. The product flux of NF98 is typically 30% higher than traditional TFC membranes, with some types reaching up to twice the efficiency, significantly reducing energy consumption.
3. It achieves a rejection rate exceeding 98% for high monovalent salts (magnesium sulfate, iron, heavy metals, etc.), while allowing monovalent salts to pass through.
4. The NF98 membrane ensures high rejection rates of organic compounds, including pesticides, herbicides, antibiotics, and THM precursors.
 
What is Nanofiltration?

Nanofiltration is a specialized membrane process that rejects dissolved solutes in the size range of approximately 1 nanometer (10 Angstroms), hence the term 'nanofiltration.'

With respect to the size and weight of solutes that nanofiltration membranes reject, NF operates in the space betweenreverse osmosis (RO) and ultrafiltration (UF). : Organic molecules with molecular weights greater than 200-400 are effectively rejected by nanofiltration membranes, along with other contaminants such as:

  • Dissolved organics.
  • Endotoxins/pyrogens.
  • Insecticides/pesticides.
  • Herbicides.
  • Antibiotics.
  • Nitrates.
  • Sugars.
  • Latex emulsions.
  • Metal ions.

Typical applications of nanofiltration membrane systems include:

  • The removal of color and total organic carbon (TOC) from surface water.
  • The removal of hardness or radium from well water.
  • The comprehensive reduction of total dissolved solids (TDS).
  • The separation of organic from inorganic matter in specialty food and wastewater applications.

Our water yield and desalination rates are meticulously measured under the following standard test conditions: 2000 ppm MgSO4, 70 psi (0.48 MPa), 77°F (25°C), with a 15% recovery rate; 2000 ppm NaCl, 70 psi (0.48 MPa), 77°F (25°C), also at a 15% recovery rate.
2. The variation range of water yield is +/-15%.
3. The F34 model features a robust fiberglass-wrapped case with a mesh thickness of 34 mil. We offer additional shells, meshes, and components as options. The HF, SP, Pro, and SPEC letters denote high throughput, salt separation, high rejection, and customized series of nanofiltration membranes, respectively.
