NF98 Series Nanofiltration Membrane ElementOur NF98 series adopts a proprietary multi-layer composite membrane featuring nano-level, ultra-thin hydrophilic coating technology. This innovation ensures superior anti-fouling performance, with flux rates that are twice as high as those of leading international brands, while operating pressures are reduced by at least 50%. This exceptional performance allows the NF98 to seamlessly replace traditional TFC membranes such as NF270, XC-N, DL, DK, and more.

1. The NF98 membrane boasts an incredibly hydrophilic surface, delivering excellent anti-fouling performance and extended longevity.
2. NF98 products typically offer 30% higher flux than traditional TFC membranes, with some models delivering up to twice the flux. This results in significantly reduced energy consumption.
3. With a rejection rate exceeding 98% for high monovalent salts (including magnesium sulfate, iron, and heavy metals), the NF98 allows monovalent salts to pass through.
4. Our membrane achieves high rejection rates for organic compounds such as pesticides, herbicides, antibiotics, and THM precursors.
 
What is Nanofiltration?

Nanofiltration is a specialized membrane process that rejects dissolved solutes in the size range of approximately 1 nanometer (10 Angstroms). This level of filtration is termed 'nanofiltration.'

Regarding the size and weight of solutes rejected by nanofiltration membranes, NF operates in the intermediate range betweenreverse osmosis (RO) and ultrafiltration (UF). : Nanofiltration membranes effectively reject organic molecules with molecular weights greater than 200-400, among other contaminants:

  • Dissolved organics.
  • Endotoxins/pyrogens.
  • Insecticides/pesticides.
  • Herbicides.
  • Antibiotics.
  • Nitrates.
  • Sugars.
  • Latex emulsions.
  • Metal ions.

Typical applications of nanofiltration membrane systems include:

  • The removal of color and total organic carbon (TOC) from surface water.
  • The elimination of hardness or radium from well water.
  • The overall reduction of total dissolved solids (TDS).
  • The separation of organic from inorganic matter in specialty food and wastewater applications.

Water yield and desalination rates were based on the following standard test conditions: 2000 ppm MgSO4, 70 psi (0.48 MPa), 77 °F (25 °C), 15% recovery, 2000 ppm NaCl, 70 psi (0.48 MPa), 77 °F (25 °C), 15% recovery.
