NF98 Series Nanofiltration Membrane ElementFeatures a proprietary multilayer composite membrane with a nano-level, ultra-thin hydrophilic coating technology. This design delivers outstanding anti-fouling performance and offers flux rates twice as high as leading international brands, while reducing operating pressure by at least 50%. Its superior performance makes it an ideal replacement for traditional TFC membranes like NF270, XC-N, DL, DK, and more.

1. NF98 membranes boast a super hydrophilic surface, excellent anti-fouling properties, and a long lifespan.
2. The NF98's product flux is typically 30% higher than traditional TFC membranes, with some types achieving up to double the flux. This significant increase in efficiency greatly reduces energy consumption.
3. Achieves a rejection rate of over 98% for high monovalent salts (e.g., magnesium sulfate, iron, heavy metals), while allowing monovalent salts to pass through.
4. Exhibits a high rejection rate for organic compounds, including pesticides, herbicides, antibiotics, and THM precursors.
 
What is Nanofiltration?

Nanofiltration is a specialized membrane process that rejects dissolved solutes approximately in the size range of 1 nanometer (10 Angstroms), hence the term 'nanofiltration.'

Nanofiltration membranes operate in the size and weight range of solutes betweenreverse osmosis (RO) and ultrafiltration (UF) :Organic molecules with molecular weights greater than 200-400 are rejected. Nanofiltration membranes effectively reject various contaminants, including:

  • Dissolved organics
  • Endotoxins/pyrogens
  • Insecticides/pesticides
  • Herbicides
  • Antibiotics
  • Nitrates
  • Sugars
  • Latex emulsions
  • Metal ions

Typical applications of nanofiltration membrane systems include:

  • The removal of color and total organic carbon (TOC) from surface water.
  • The removal of hardness or radium from well water.
  • The overall reduction of total dissolved solids (TDS).

Our water yield and desalination rates, derived from stringent standard test conditions, are as follows: 2000 ppm MgSO4 at 70 psi (0.48 MPa), 77°F (25°C), with 15% recovery, and 2000 ppm NaCl at 70 psi (0.48 MPa), 77°F (25°C), with 15% recovery.
2. The water yield variation range is +/- 15%.
3. The F34 model features a robust fiberglass-wrapped case with a mesh thickness of 34 mil. We offer additional shells, meshes, and components as options. The designations HF, SP, Pro, and SPEC refer to high throughput, salt separation, high rejection, and customized nanofiltration membrane series, respectively.
