Product Description

Product Description

Stable Salt Rejection NF Filter Element

NF98 Series Nanofiltration Membrane ElementThe NF98 series nanofiltration membrane element adopts a proprietary multilayer composite membrane, utilizing nano-level, ultra-thin hydrophilic coating technology. This design offers exceptional anti-fouling performance and provides flux levels that are twice as high as those of leading international brands, while maintaining operational pressures at least 50% lower. Its comprehensive performance enables it to replace traditional TFC membranes such as NF270, XC-N, DL, DK, and more.

1. The NF98 membrane features a super hydrophilic surface, excellent anti-fouling properties, and a long lifespan.
2. The product flux of the NF98 is typically 30% higher than traditional TFC membranes, with some types reaching up to twice the flux, significantly reducing energy consumption.
3. The membrane achieves a rejection rate of over 98% for high monovalent salts (such as magnesium sulfate, iron, and heavy metals), while allowing monovalent salts to pass through.
4. It also boasts a high rejection rate for organic compounds, including pesticides, herbicides, antibiotics, and THM precursors.

What is Nanofiltration?

Nanofiltration is a specialized membrane process that rejects dissolved solutes approximately in the size range of 1 nanometer (10 Angstroms), hence the term 'nanofiltration.'

Regarding the size and weight of solutes that nanofiltration membranes reject, NF operates in the domain betweenreverse osmosis (RO) and ultrafiltration (UF). : Organic molecules with molecular weights greater than 200 - 400 are effectively rejected by nanofiltration membranes, including various contaminants such as:

  • Dissolved organics.
  • Endotoxins/pyrogens.
  • Insecticides/pesticides.
  • Herbicides.
  • Antibiotics.
  • Nitrates.
  • Sugars.
  • Latex emulsions.
  • Metal ions.

Typical applications of nanofiltration membrane systems include:

  • The removal of color and total organic carbon (TOC) from surface water.
  • The removal of hardness or radium from well water.
  • The overall reduction of total dissolved solids (TDS).
  • The separation of organic from inorganic matter in specialty food and wastewater applications.

Water yield and desalination rates were determined under the following precise test conditions: 2000 ppm MgSO4, 70 psi (0.48 MPa), 77°F (25°C), and 15% recovery, coupled with 2000 ppm NaCl at 70 psi (0.48 MPa), 77°F (25°C), and 15% recovery.
2. The water yield variation range is +/-15%.
3. The F34 model features a robust fiberglass wrapped case with a mesh thickness of 34 mil. Additional shells, meshes, and components are available as options. The designations HF, SP, Pro, and SPEC indicate high throughput, salt separation, high rejection, and customized nanofiltration membrane series, respectively. (Please consult our pre-sales engineers for more detailed information).

What's the difference between Nanofiltration and Loose Reverse Osmosis? The distinction between nanofiltration and loose reverse osmosis varies depending on perspective and application. The Proshare NF98 series nanofiltration membrane boasts exceptional performance, even surpassing mainstream imported brands. It not only meets the
Donnan equilibrium principles but also offers high selective ion rejection (FIG. 4). Additionally, desalination and COD removal efficiencies can be customized based on customer requirements. (Feel free to consult our senior pre-sales engineers for the optimal solution).Donnan
with high selective rejection of ions (FIG. 4), but also the desolation and COD removal performance can be differentiated customization as customers need. (You are always welcome to consult senior pre-sales engineers for best solution)
