NF98 Series Nanofiltration Membrane ElementThe NF98 series adopts a proprietary multilayer composite membrane, integrating nano-level and ultra-thin hydrophilic coating technology. This innovative design offers exceptional anti-fouling performance, doubling the flux compared to leading international brands, while operating at a minimum of 50% lower pressure. With such comprehensive performance, the NF98 membrane can efficiently replace traditional TFC membranes such as NF270, XC-N, DL, and DK.

1. The NF98 membrane boasts a super hydrophilic surface, ensuring excellent anti-fouling properties and extended longevity.
2. The product flux of the NF98 series is generally 30% higher than traditional TFC membranes, with certain types achieving up to twice the flux, significantly reducing energy consumption.
3. The NF98 membrane exhibits a rejection rate of over 98% for high monovalent salts (such as magnesium sulfate, iron, and heavy metals), while allowing monovalent salts to pass through.
4. It features a high rejection rate for organic compounds, including pesticides, herbicides, antibiotics, and THM precursors.
 
What is Nanofiltration?

Nanofiltration is a specialized membrane process that rejects dissolved solutes approximately 1 nanometer (10 Angstroms) in size, thus the term 'nanofiltration.'

In terms of solute size and weight rejection, nanofiltration operates betweenreverse osmosis (RO) and ultrafiltration (UF). : Organic molecules with molecular weights greater than 200 - 400 are effectively rejected by nanofiltration membranes. These membranes can efficiently reject a variety of contaminants, including:

  • Dissolved organics
  • Endotoxins/pyrogens
  • Insecticides/pesticides
  • Herbicides
  • Antibiotics
  • Nitrates
  • Sugars
  • Latex emulsions
  • Metal ions

Typical applications of nanofiltration membrane systems include:

  • Removing color and total organic carbon (TOC) from surface water.
  • Eliminating hardness or radium from well water.

The water yield and desalination rates are determined under the following standard test conditions: 2000 ppm MgSO4 at 70 psi (0.48 MPa), 77°F (25°C), with a 15% recovery rate; and 2000 ppm NaCl at 70 psi (0.48 MPa), 77°F (25°C), with a 15% recovery rate.
2. The variation range of water yield is within +/- 15%.
3. The F34 model features a fiberglass-wrapped case with a mesh thickness of 34 mil. Additional shells, meshes, and components are available for selection. The designations HF, SP, Pro, and SPEC correspond to high throughput, salt separation, high rejection, and customized series of nanofiltration membranes, respectively.
