Industrial Strength Water Purifier Membrane

NF98 Series Nanofiltration Membrane ElementThe NF98 series employs a proprietary multilayer composite membrane with an ultra-thin, nano-level hydrophilic coating. It boasts exceptional anti-fouling properties and offers a flux rate that is twice that of leading international brands. Furthermore, it operates at a pressure that is at least 50% lower. Its superior performance allows it to replace traditional TFC membranes such as NF270, XC-N, DL, and DK.

1. The NF98 membrane features a highly hydrophilic surface, providing outstanding anti-fouling performance and prolonged lifespan.
2. The product flux of the NF98 is typically 30% higher than traditional TFC membranes, with some types even achieving twice the flux. This significantly reduces energy consumption.
3. The NF98 achieves a rejection rate of over 98% for high monovalent salts (e.g., magnesium sulfate, iron, heavy metals) while allowing monovalent salts to pass through.
4. It offers a high rejection rate for organic compounds, including pesticides, herbicides, antibiotics, and THM precursors.
 
What is Nanofiltration?

Nanofiltration is a specialized membrane process that rejects dissolved solutes approximately in the size range of 1 nanometer (10 Angstroms), hence the term 'nanofiltration.'

Regarding the size and weight of solutes that nanofiltration membranes reject, NF operates in the realm betweenreverse osmosis (RO) and ultrafiltration (UF) : Organic molecules with molecular weights greater than 200-400 are rejected. Nanofiltration membranes can effectively reject various contaminants, including:

  • Dissolved organics.
  • Endotoxins/pyrogens.
  • Insecticides/pesticides.
  • Herbicides.
  • Antibiotics.
  • Nitrates.
  • Sugars.
  • Latex emulsions.
  • Metal ions.

Typical applications of nanofiltration membrane systems include:

  • The removal of color and total organic carbon (TOC) from surface water.
