NF98 Series Nanofiltration Membrane ElementProshare Innovation Suzhou Co., Ltd. introduces the NF98 series nanofiltration membrane element, which adopts a proprietary multilayer composite membrane. This cutting-edge technology utilizes nano-level and ultra-thin hydrophilic coating, delivering outstanding anti-fouling performance. Remarkably, the flux is more than twice that of leading international brands, with operating pressure reduced by at least 50%. The NF98 can effectively replace traditional TFC membranes such as NF270, XC-N, DL, and DK due to its superior, comprehensive performance.

1. The NF98 membrane boasts a super hydrophilic surface, providing excellent anti-fouling performance and a prolonged lifespan.
2. The NF98's product flux is typically 30% higher than that of traditional TFC membranes. Some variants even achieve double the flux, resulting in significantly reduced energy consumption.
3. Achieving a rejection rate of over 98% for high monovalent salts (such as magnesium sulfate, iron, and heavy metals), while allowing monovalent salts to pass through.
4. The NF98 offers a high rejection rate for organic compounds including pesticides, herbicides, antibiotics, and THM precursors.
 
What is Nanofiltration?

Nanofiltration is a specialized membrane process designed to reject dissolved solutes approximately 1 nanometer (10 Angstroms) in size, hence the term 'nanofiltration.'

Nanofiltration membranes operate between the realms of reverse osmosis (RO) and ultrafiltration (UF), rejecting solutes based on size and weight.reverse osmosis (RO) and ultrafiltration (UF) : Organic molecules with molecular weights between 200 - 400 are effectively rejected. Nanofiltration membranes can remove contaminants such as:

  • Dissolved organics.
  • Endotoxins/pyrogens.
  • Insecticides/pesticides.
  • Herbicides.
  • Antibiotics.
  • Nitrates.
  • Sugars.
  • Latex emulsions.
  • Metal ions.

Typical applications of nanofiltration membrane systems include:

  • The removal of color and total organic carbon (TOC) from surface water.
  • The removal of hardness or radium from well water.
  • The overall reduction of total dissolved solids (TDS).

Water yield and desalination rates were determined using the following standard test conditions: 2000 ppm MgSO4, 70 psi (0.48 MPa), 77°F (25°C), 15% recovery. Additionally, 2000 ppm NaCl, 70 psi (0.48 MPa), 77°F (25°C), 15% recovery.

3. F34 is encased in a fiberglass wrapped shell with a mesh thickness of 34 mil. Optional extra shells, meshes, and components are available. HF, SP, Pro, and SPEC letters denote high throughput, salt separation, high rejection, and customized series of nanofiltration membranes respectively.
