Product Description

Product Description

High Flux Nanofiltration Membrane for Water Treatment

NF98 Series Nanofiltration Membrane ElementThe NF98 series adopts a proprietary multilayer composite membrane with nano-level, ultra-thin hydrophilic coating technology. This innovation provides outstanding anti-fouling performance and delivers a flux rate that is twice as high as international popular brands, all while reducing operating pressure by at least 50%. With its superior performance, the NF98 series can effectively replace traditional TFC membranes such as NF270, XC-N, DL, DK, etc.

1. The NF98 membrane features a super hydrophilic surface, exceptional anti-fouling capabilities, and extended longevity.
2. The product flux of the NF98 is typically 30% higher than traditional TFC membranes, with some types reaching up to twice the efficiency, significantly reducing energy consumption.
3. It boasts a rejection rate of over 98% for high monovalent salts (e.g., magnesium sulfate, iron, heavy metals) while allowing monovalent salts to pass through.
4. It ensures a high rejection rate for organic compounds, including pesticides, herbicides, antibiotics, and THM precursors.

What is Nanofiltration?

Nanofiltration is a specialized membrane process designed to reject dissolved solutes within the size range of approximately 1 nanometer (10 Angstroms)-hence the name 'nanofiltration.'

In terms of solute size and weight, nanofiltration membranes function between the capabilities ofreverse osmosis (RO) and ultrafiltration (UF). : Nanofiltration membranes effectively reject organic molecules with molecular weights greater than 200 to 400. They can filter out several contaminants, including:

  • Dissolved organics
  • Endotoxins/pyrogens
  • Insecticides/pesticides
  • Herbicides
  • Antibiotics
  • Nitrates
  • Sugars
  • Latex emulsions
  • Metal ions

Typical applications of nanofiltration membrane systems include:

  • • Removing color and total organic carbon (TOC) from surface water
  • • Eliminating hardness or radium from well water
  • • Reducing total dissolved solids (TDS) overall
  • • Separating organic from inorganic matter in specialty food* and wastewater applications

What's the difference between Nanofiltration and Loose Reverse Osmosis?
There are diverse perspectives on whether nanofiltration is a variant of loose reverse osmosis, depending on different standpoints and applications. The Proshare NF98 series nanofiltration membrane, with its stellar performance, surpasses even mainstream imported brands. It not only meets theDonnan
effect with its highly selective rejection of ions (FIG. 4), but also offers customizable desalination and COD removal performance to meet customer requirements. (Consult our senior pre-sales engineers for the best solution.)
