NF98 Series Nanofiltration Membrane ElementThe NF98 Series adopts a proprietary multilayer composite membrane featuring nano-level, ultra-thin hydrophilic coating technology, ensuring excellent anti-fouling performance. These membranes boast a flux that is twice as high as leading international brands and operate at 50% lower pressure. Their comprehensive performance allows them to replace traditional TFC membranes such as NF270, XC-N, DL, DK, and more.

1. The NF98 membrane boasts a super hydrophilic surface, superior anti-fouling performance, and an extended lifespan.
2. The NF98's product flux is typically 30% higher than traditional TFC membranes, with some types reaching up to twice the flux, significantly reducing energy consumption.
3. The NF98 achieves a rejection rate of over 98% for high monovalent salts (such as magnesium sulfate, iron, heavy metals), while allowing monovalent salts to pass through.
4. The NF98 ensures a high rejection rate of organic compounds, including pesticides, herbicides, antibiotics, and THM precursors.
 
What is Nanofiltration?

Nanofiltration refers to a specialized membrane process that rejects dissolved solutes in the size range of approximately 1 nanometer (10 Angstroms)-hence the term "nanofiltration."

In terms of the size and weight of solutes rejected, nanofiltration operates in the realm betweenreverse osmosis (RO) and ultrafiltration (UF) : Nanofiltration membranes effectively reject organic molecules with molecular weights greater than 200-400, including:

  • Dissolved organics,
  • Endotoxins/pyrogens,
  • Insecticides/pesticides,
  • Herbicides,
  • Antibiotics,
  • Nitrates,
  • Sugars,
  • Latex emulsions,
  • Metal ions.

Typical applications of nanofiltration membrane systems include:

  • Removal of color and total organic carbon (TOC) from surface water,
  • Removal of hardness or radium from well water,
  • Overall reduction of total dissolved solids (TDS),
  • Separation of organic from inorganic matter in specialty food and wastewater applications.

3. The F34 model features a robust fiberglass wrapped case with a 34 mil mesh thickness. We also offer additional shells, meshes, and components as optional extras.
