NF98 Series Nanofiltration Membrane ElementThe NF98 series employs our proprietary multilayer composite membrane combined with nano-level, ultra-thin hydrophilic coating technology. This unique combination delivers superior anti-fouling performance while achieving flux rates that are twice as high as leading international brands, all while operating at pressures at least 50% lower. Its comprehensive performance makes it a robust replacement for traditional TFC membranes like NF270, XC-N, DL, and DK.

Key Features:

1. The NF98 membrane boasts a super-hydrophilic surface, ensuring exceptional anti-fouling performance and a prolonged lifespan.
2. The NF98's product flux is generally 30% higher than traditional TFC membranes, with certain types reaching up to twice the rate, greatly reducing energy consumption.
3. It achieves a rejection rate of over 98% for high monovalent salts (e.g., magnesium sulfate, iron, heavy metals), while allowing monovalent salts to pass through.
4. The membrane also provides a high rejection rate for organic compounds, including pesticides, herbicides, antibiotics, and THM precursors.

What is Nanofiltration?

Nanofiltration is a specialized membrane process that filters dissolved solutes in the size range of approximately 1 nanometer (10 Angstroms), hence the name 'nanofiltration.'

In terms of solute size and weight rejection, nanofiltration operates in the niche betweenreverse osmosis (RO) and ultrafiltration (UF) :Organic molecules with molecular weights greater than 200-400 are effectively rejected by nanofiltration membranes, making them highly efficient against various contaminants such as:

  • Dissolved organics
  • Endotoxins/pyrogens
  • Insecticides/pesticides
  • Herbicides
  • Antibiotics
  • Nitrates
  • Sugars
  • Latex emulsions

Water yield and desalination rates are based on the following standard test conditions: 2000 ppm MgSO4, 70 psi (0.48 MPa), 77°F (25°C), 15% recovery, 2000 ppm NaCl, 70 psi (0.48 MPa), 77°F (25°C), 15% recovery.

3. F34 is a fiberglass-wrapped case with a mesh thickness of 34 mil. Additional shells, meshes, and components are available as options.
