NF98 Series Nanofiltration Membrane ElementThe NF98 series boasts a proprietary multilayer composite membrane with nano-level, ultra-thin hydrophilic coating technology. This state-of-the-art design delivers outstanding anti-fouling performance while offering flux rates twice as high as leading international brands. Additionally, it operates at 50% lower pressure. This exceptional performance profile makes it an ideal replacement for traditional TFC membranes, such as NF270, XC-N, DL, DK, and others.

1. The NF98 membrane features a super hydrophilic surface, providing superior anti-fouling performance and an extended lifespan.
2. The NF98 membrane's product flux is typically 30% higher than traditional TFC membranes, with some types achieving up to twice the flux, significantly reducing energy consumption.
3. Offers a rejection rate of over 98% for high monovalent salts (magnesium sulfate, iron, heavy metals, etc.), while allowing monovalent salts to pass through.
4. Exhibits high rejection rates for organic compounds, including pesticides, herbicides, antibiotics, and THM precursors.
 
What is Nanofiltration?

Nanofiltration is a specialized membrane process that rejects dissolved solutes within the approximate size range of 1 nanometer (10 Angstroms). This process is aptly named 'nanofiltration' due to its precise filtration capabilities.

Nanofiltration membranes operate in the size and weight range of solutes that fall between reverse osmosis (RO) and ultrafiltration (UF).reverse osmosis (RO) and ultrafiltration (UF) : Organic molecules with molecular weights between 200 - 400 are effectively rejected by nanofiltration membranes. These membranes can filter out a variety of contaminants, including:

  • Dissolved organics.
  • Endotoxins/pyrogens.
  • Insecticides/pesticides.
  • Herbicides.
  • Antibiotics.
  • Nitrates.
  • Sugars.
  • Latex emulsions.
  • Metal ions.

Typical applications of nanofiltration membrane systems include:

  • Removing color and total organic carbon (TOC) from surface water.
  • Eliminating hardness or radium from well water.
  • Reducing total dissolved solids (TDS) overall.

Water yield and desalination rates are based on the following standard test conditions: 2000 ppm MgSO4, 70 psi (0.48 MPa), 77 °F (25 °C), 15% recovery, 2000 ppm NaCl, 70 psi (0.48 MPa), 77 °F (25 °C), 15% recovery.
