NF98 Series Nanofiltration Membrane ElementThe NF98 series employs a proprietary multilayer composite membrane with a nano-level, ultra-thin hydrophilic coating. This technology delivers top-tier anti-fouling performance while achieving double the flux rate of leading international brands. Remarkably, it operates at 50% lower pressure. Its outstanding performance makes it a superior alternative to traditional TFC membranes like NF270, XC-N, DL, DK, among others.

1. The NF98 membrane boasts a super hydrophilic surface, providing exceptional anti-fouling capabilities and an extended lifespan.
2. The NF98 membrane's product flux is generally 30% higher than traditional TFC membranes and can reach up to double in certain configurations, significantly reducing energy consumption.
3. The NF98 membrane achieves over 98% rejection of high monovalent salts (such as magnesium sulfate, iron, and heavy metals) while allowing monovalent salts to pass through.
4. It offers a high rejection rate for organic compounds, including pesticides, herbicides, antibiotics, and THM precursors.
 
What is Nanofiltration?

Nanofiltration refers to a specialized membrane process designed to reject dissolved solutes approximately 1 nanometer (10 Angstroms) in size-hence the term 'nanofiltration.'

Regarding solute size and weight rejection, nanofiltration operates in the intermediate range betweenreverse osmosis (RO) and ultrafiltration (UF). : Organic molecules with molecular weights greater than 200-400 are effectively rejected by nanofiltration membranes. These membranes are capable of rejecting a variety of contaminants including:

  • Dissolved organics.
  • Endotoxins/pyrogens.
  • Insecticides/pesticides.
  • Herbicides.
  • Antibiotics.
  • Nitrates.
  • Sugars.
  • Latex emulsions.
  • Metal ions.

Typical applications of nanofiltration membrane systems include:

  • 1. The removal of color and total organic carbon (TOC) from surface water.
  • 2. The removal of hardness or radium from well water.
  • 3. The overall reduction of total dissolved solids (TDS).
