NF98 Series Nanofiltration Membrane ElementThe NF98 series nanofiltration membrane element incorporates our proprietary multilayer composite membrane technology, featuring an ultra-thin hydrophilic coating at the nano-level. This advanced technology ensures superior anti-fouling capabilities while delivering flux rates that are twice as high as those of leading international brands, all at an operating pressure that is at least 50% lower. This exceptional performance allows the NF98 to effectively replace traditional TFC membranes such as NF270, XC-N, DL, DK, and others.

1. NF98 membranes boast a super hydrophilic surface, offering outstanding anti-fouling performance and an extended lifecycle.
2. The product flux of the NF98 typically surpasses that of traditional TFC membranes by 30%, with some models achieving up to double the flux, significantly reducing energy consumption.
3. The NF98 membrane achieves a rejection rate exceeding 98% for high monovalent salts (e.g., magnesium sulfate, iron, heavy metals), while allowing monovalent salts to pass through.
4. It also exhibits a high rejection rate for organic compounds, including pesticides, herbicides, antibiotics, and THM precursors.
 
What is Nanofiltration?

Nanofiltration is a specialized membrane process engineered to reject dissolved solutes within the approximate size range of 1 nanometer (10 Angstroms), thus named 'nanofiltration.'

Operating between the domains ofreverse osmosis (RO) and ultrafiltration (UF), : nanofiltration membranes effectively reject organic molecules with molecular weights greater than 200-400. These membranes can efficiently filter out a variety of contaminants, including:

  • Dissolved organics,
  • Endotoxins/pyrogens,
  • Insecticides/pesticides,
  • Herbicides,
  • Antibiotics,
  • Nitrates,
  • Sugars,
  • Latex emulsions,
  • Metal ions.

Typical applications of nanofiltration membrane systems include:

  • The removal of color and total organic carbon (TOC) from surface water,
  • The removal of hardness or radium from well water,
  • The overall reduction of total dissolved solids (TDS),
  • and the separation of organic from inorganic matter in specialty food and wastewater applications.

The water yield and desalination rates are determined under the following standardized test conditions: 2000 ppm MgSO4, 70 psi (0.48 MPa), 77°F (25°C), with 15% recovery. These parameters are repeated for 2000 ppm NaCl, ensuring consistent and reliable performance at 70 psi (0.48 MPa), 77°F (25°C), and 15% recovery.
2. The variation range of the water yield is within +/-15%, ensuring dependable performance across different operating conditions.
3. The F34 model features a fiberglass-wrapped case with a mesh thickness of 34 mil. Additional shells, meshes, and components are available as optional enhancements. The HF, SP, Pro, and SPEC series indicate high throughput, salt separation, high rejection, and customized nanofiltration membrane series, respectively.
