NF98 Series Nanofiltration Membrane ElementThe NF98 series harnesses a proprietary multilayer composite membrane with cutting-edge nano-level, ultra-thin hydrophilic coating technology. This ensures unparalleled anti-fouling capabilities while delivering flux rates twice as high as leading international brands, all at operating pressures reduced by at least 50%. Its comprehensive performance makes it an ideal replacement for conventional TFC membranes like NF270, XC-N, DL, and DK, among others.

1. The NF98 membrane boasts a super hydrophilic surface, delivering exceptional anti-fouling performance and extended lifespan.
2. The NF98 product flux is typically 30% higher than traditional TFC membranes, with certain types achieving up to twice the flux rate, significantly cutting energy consumption.
3. The membrane achieves a rejection rate exceeding 98% for high monovalent salts (such as magnesium sulfate, iron, and heavy metals), while allowing monovalent salts to pass through.
4. It also demonstrates a high rejection rate for organic compounds, including pesticides, herbicides, antibiotics, and THM precursors.
 
What is Nanofiltration?

Nanofiltration is a specialized membrane process designed to reject dissolved solutes approximately 1 nanometer (10 Angstroms) in size-hence, the term 'nanofiltration.'

In terms of solute size and weight, nanofiltration operates betweenreverse osmosis (RO) and ultrafiltration (UF). : Nanofiltration membranes effectively reject several contaminants, including organic molecules with molecular weights exceeding 200 - 400. These membranes are proficient in rejecting:

  • Dissolved organics
  • Endotoxins/pyrogens
  • Insecticides/pesticides
  • Herbicides
  • Antibiotics
  • Nitrates
  • Sugars
  • Latex emulsions
  • Metal ions

Water yield and desalination rates are established based on the following rigorous standard test conditions: 2000 ppm MgSO4, 70 psi (0.48 MPa), 77 °F (25 °C), 15% recovery; 2000 ppm NaCl, 70 psi (0.48 MPa), 77 °F (25 °C), 15% recovery.
2. Water yield variation range: +/-15%.
3. The F34 model features a fiberglass-wrapped case with a mesh thickness of 34 mil. Additional shells, meshes, and components are available as options. The HF, SP, Pro, and SPEC designations stand for high throughput, salt separation, high rejection, and customized series of nanofiltration membranes respectively.
