Product Description

Product Description

Superior Hydrophilic NF Membrane Filter

NF98 Series Nanofiltration Membrane ElementThis advanced NF98 series nanofiltration membrane element incorporates a proprietary multilayer composite membrane and nano-level, ultra-thin hydrophilic coating technology. These innovations deliver superior anti-fouling performance and offer a flux that is double that of leading international brands, with operating pressures at least 50% lower. Its comprehensive capabilities make it an ideal replacement for traditional TFC membranes like NF270, XC-N, DL, and DK.

1. The NF98 membrane boasts a super hydrophilic surface, exceptional anti-fouling performance, and extended longevity.
2. The product flux of the NF98 is generally 30% higher than traditional TFC membranes, with some variants reaching up to double the flux. This significantly reduces energy consumption.
3. It achieves a rejection rate of over 98% for high monovalent salts (such as magnesium sulfate, iron, heavy metals, etc.), while allowing monovalent salts to pass through.
4. The membrane exhibits a high rejection rate for organic compounds, including pesticides, herbicides, antibiotics, and THM precursors.

What is Nanofiltration?

Nanofiltration is a specialized membrane process designed to reject dissolved solutes approximately 1 nanometer (10 Angstroms) in size, hence the term 'nanofiltration.'

Nanofiltration membranes operate within the size and weight range of solutes betweenreverse osmosis (RO) and ultrafiltration (UF). :Organic molecules with molecular weights greater than 200 - 400 are effectively rejected by nanofiltration membranes. These can include, but are not limited to:

  • Dissolved organics
  • Endotoxins/pyrogens
  • Insecticides/pesticides
  • Herbicides
  • Antibiotics
  • Nitrates
  • Sugars
  • Latex emulsions
  • Metal ions

Typical applications of nanofiltration membrane systems include:

  • The removal of color and total organic carbon (TOC) from surface water.
  • The removal of hardness or radium from well water.
  • The overall reduction of total dissolved solids (TDS).
  • The separation of organic from inorganic matter in specialty food and wastewater applications.

The water yield and desalination rates are evaluated under the following standardized test conditions: 2000 ppm MgSO4 at 70 psi (0.48 MPa), 77°F (25°C), with a 15% recovery rate. Similarly, for 2000 ppm NaCl at 70 psi (0.48 MPa), 77°F (25°C), and a 15% recovery rate.
2. The variation range of water yield is +/- 15%.
3. The F34 model features a fiberglass-wrapped case with a mesh thickness of 34 mil. Additional shells, meshes, and components are available as options. The HF, SP, Pro, and SPEC designations indicate high throughput, salt separation, high rejection, and customized series of nanofiltration membranes respectively. (Please consult our pre-sales engineers for more details).

Whatis the difference between Nanofiltration and Loose Reverse Osmosis?
There are varying opinions on whether nanofiltration can be considered a loose reverse osmosis, based on different perspectives and applications. The Proshare NF98 series nanofiltration membrane boasts excellent performance, surpassing even mainstream imported brands. It not only meets theDonnan
equilibrium with high selective ion rejection (as shown in FIG. 4), but also offers customizable desalination and COD removal performance according to customer needs. (You are always welcome to consult our senior pre-sales engineers for the best solution).
